From 2001 on, after we helped our first orphan, little Mercy, God continued to speak to me, encouraging me to help widows, orphans and also any other children in need from our community. In 2016, we had a fundraising event to build a children's home, and the first orphans were brought in. One day, I was evangelizing and I went into a house and found a very old lady with two grandchildren, Walter and his brother Emmanuel. The house had nothing, no chairs, utensils, blankets, etc. It was totally bare. When I saw this terribly sad situation, tears started rolling down my cheeks. She said her son and his wife died of HIV aids and left the children with her. The boys were in poor health, with skin rashes all over their bodies. So I took the two boys to the orphanage to care for them, (Fed them, gave them a soft bed, and medical care) and bought their grandmother, bed linens, chairs etc After that I brought in other orphans, and everyone of them has a very sad history and story to tell.
For now, we have a total of 16 orphans who live in the orphanage as permanent residents, and another 31 orphans and poor children from the community, who come in the morning. We feed them three meals a day, as well as provide a school for all of them. In the evening, they go back to the village because we do not have enough rooms or beds for them to sleep on. We have started the school with 3 teachers who are just volunteering because there is no money to pay them. The teachers teach the children who come in the morning and leave in the evening, but the 16 orphans who live at the orphanage learn outside because we have no more rooms or buildings to create more classrooms. My heart and desire is to help more orphans and children in need in our community, but currently we have no more food to feed them, no more rooms, no clothes, or desks, or chairs etc. Besides all this, we need security for their safety. Can you help? Every dollar aids in our mission to help these needy, impoverished sweet children. We can't do it without you...
